COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The journey from hospital to home is a delicate, often overwhelming time for families, especially when it follows a prolonged hospitalization. Rather than rushing into intervention, this course emphasizes the power of being present: listening deeply, honoring the child’s story, and supporting daily routines. We’ll explore co-regulation and trauma-informed, family-centered practices that create a foundation where trust and connection come first and development naturally follows. This is an invitation to meet families where they are, honor their strengths, and foster growth and development through connection.

Chazz Lewis’s mission in life is to enjoy the process of becoming the best version of himself and help others do the same. He goes by “Mr. Chazz” to his massive online following, and to his many students and fellow teachers, leaders, and human beings. Having stepped into the classroom in the early days, largely because he needed a job, he discovered a passion for inspiring and understanding and igniting curiosity and possibility in kids.
He completed a master’s degree in executive leadership at American University and spent years using his own classrooms as living laboratories, developing a more conscious, informed, joyful and dignity-driven and inspired approach to learning, leading, and elevating others. His philosophy began to find relevance far beyond the classroom and has found a home everywhere from parenting to education, personal development, and organizational leadership.
Mr. Chazz’s mission is to help adults truly See, Guide and Trust children. He is pushing the needle a little closer toward world peace with his approach. He is a consultant, Teacher coach, Parent coach, Conscious Discipline practitioner, Podcaster, Content Creator, Teacher, and Head of Education in Brooklyn, NY.
Kristy Fuller is a nationally recognized neonatal occupational therapist with a passion for promoting zero separation between babies and their families. With advanced training in trauma-informed care, Kristy specializes in early eating experiences and developmentally supportive practices that ease the transition from the NICU to home. Her work centers on fostering regulation, safety, and joyful connection from the earliest moments of life.
Kristy is a Certified Neonatal Therapist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and holds certifications in NIDCAP, Prechtl’s General Movement Assessment, and Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT). Kristy has created online education programs, co-authored numerous publications, mentored developmental care teams, and contributed to research projects focused on improving outcomes for preterm babies. As co-developer of the Developmental Participation Skills (DPS) assessment, Kristy brings a collaborative, family-centered lens to every aspect of care—equipping professionals to create sustainable, relational transitions that support long-term infant and family well-being.
A mother of two, Kristy and her husband, Ron live in Eastern Iowa with their dog Lucy.
Tara DeWolfe is a pediatric physical therapist with expertise in developmental care, trauma-informed practice, and early intervention. Her clinical focus includes supporting infants and families during the vulnerable transition from the NICU to home, with an emphasis on regulation, relational health, and participation in daily routines. Tara is passionate about empowering caregivers and professionals to create nurturing environments where babies thrive.
She is a Certified Neonatal Therapist, Certified Lactation Counselor, and holds certifications in NIDCAP, Prechtl’s General Movement Assessment, and the NANN Developmental Care Specialist designation. Tara has authored educational content and contributed to research focused on family-centered neonatal care. As co-developer of the Developmental Participation Skills (DPS) assessment, she is dedicated to bridging gaps between hospital and home by promoting individualized, responsive care that lasts well beyond discharge.
