This is your opportunity to gain new skills, insights and strategies that will empower you to meet the challenges and needs of your young patients and families. Rewind, pause, reflect and go at your own pace. Focused on the birth to three population through a multi-disciplinary lens, Program A (Day 1) of the conference will delve into supporting children with down syndrome, reflux, the role of gravity in early development and decisions about orthoses for babies and toddlers.
These sessions and expert faculty give OTs, PTs and SLPs the knowledge they need, paired with practical interventions that can be implemented right away. Bring that momentum back to your team and keep it moving forward!

Anne Buckley-Reen, OTR, RYT has been a practicing pediatric therapist for 30+ years and a pioneer in the use of yoga as a therapeutic modality for the past 16 years. Her work with yoga has been researched, published and cited in numerous journal articles and is the foundation for a researched preparatory program widely used in NYC schools - special needs classrooms. Anne brings a wealth of treatment options to pediatric therapy through yoga and continues to expand her knowledge and sharing through her dynamic yoga trainings.

Alyssa LaForme Fiss is a licensed physical therapist and Board-Certified Pediatrics Clinical Specialist. Dr. Fiss has practiced across various pediatric clinical settings including early intervention, school-based, outpatient, and home health settings. She is an International Collaborator of the CanChild Centre for Childhood Disability Research, participating in research collaborations to advance pediatric disability research. She served as a co-investigator on the international, multi-site, On Track research study, examining developmental trajectories for primary and secondary impairments, health conditions, performance of self-care, and participation for children with cerebral palsy.
Dr Fiss is Professor and Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Student Success in the College of Health Sciences at Texas Woman’s University. Her current research interests include examining interventions to support adaptive behavior in children with disabilities as well as examining strategies to promote motor development for children with Down syndrome. She has published widely and has presented her research at the regional, national, and international level. Dr Fiss is also the co-editor of the pediatric physical therapy textbook, "Meeting the Physical Therapy Needs of Children."
Mallory Roberts is a Speech Pathologist who has special interests in infant reflux, infant oral development and bottle feeding. She is trained in myo-functional therapy, craniosacral therapy, and infant massage. She has. Recognizing the lack of support during her own babies’ feeding journeys, she created The Feeding Mom. It is here that she empowers parents through their feeding journeys locally and around the world. Her philosophy is: every parent deserves to love feeding their baby.
Eileen Richter, MPH, OTR/L, FAOTA has over 30 years’ experience working with a variety of disability groups in public schools, hospitals, and private practice. She has her Master of Public Health degree in Maternal & Child Health, is NDT certified, and has published a number of books.
Ms. Richter has lectured extensively throughout the US, Asia, and Europe on topics related to sensory-motor dysfunction in children. She is a Fellow of the AOTA and has directed Avanti-Camp, an intensive sensory integration camp using an advanced treatment model. Ms. Richter continues to support the development of the camp and other treatment models while designing and developing therapeutic equipment.
Amanda Hall, PT, MPT, PCS, began teaching clinical education with serial therapeutic casting courses, and has since developed additional coursework based on an integrative approach to treatment for patients with pediatric and neurological health conditions. Her clinical practice is at the Rehabilitation and Specialized Care of Children’s National Hospital (formerly the HSC Pediatric Center) in Washington, DC, where she specializes in treating “outliers” and patients with complex presentations. Her framework is grounded in PNF principles, therapeutic alliance, neuroplasticity, manual therapy, therapeutic gait, and developmental kinesioplasticity. Her framework has a strong focus in patient-centered treatment and adaptive design. As a result, she has received international media attention as the “Madcaster.” Notable presentations include the Combined Sections Meeting of the American Physical Therapy Association, the APTA Pediatrics Annual Conference, and at the National Institutes of Health. She graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Washington in 2001 and received her Board-Certification as a Pediatric Clinical Specialist in 2010.
