This course will be broken into two sections. The first will explore using technology tools to support student’s access, reading/writing, executive function and overall efficiency. Participants will be walked through our favorite digital tools, have the opportunity to observe and then practice. The second section will focus on therapist and educator efficiency utilizing similar digital tools.
Objectives:
- Identify the common Language used related to technology.
- Select apps/extensions to address reading/writing & executive functioning
- Identify a way to use apps/extensions to track your therapy sessions, goal areas & objectives

Tim Richmond earned his degree in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University. Upon completion, he worked in Massachusetts and throughout the country in both public and private education settings. Tim joined Cotting School in 2006 as an Occupational Therapist, helping students find new and innovative ways to access learning. In 2015 Tim joined the Cotting Consulting team and provided Assistive Technology expertise to students in their home districts across the state. Tim was quickly named as the Outreach Coordinator for Cotting Consulting where he corresponded with districts to provide comprehensive support for a wide spectrum of students. Most recently he was named as the new Director of Cotting Consulting. Cotting School, located in Lexington, Massachusetts is one of the longest running day school programs for students with physical, communication and intellectual disabilities, founded in 1893. www.cotting.org
