COURSE DESCRIPTION: In this interactive NEW course, we will take a more in-depth look at assessment of children with torticollis and integrate different treatment approaches. Current functional, clinically oriented evaluation and evidence based treatment strategies for infants and young children that can be integrated into routines and play will be provided. Learning opportunities will transpire through lecture, case reports, group problem solving, video review, and lab practicum. The extensive use of pictures and videos throughout the 2 days of intensive course materials will allow participates to problem solve and identify movement and tissue impairments related to the diagnosis of torticollis, providing functional ways to evaluate and treat.
PLEASE READ:
This NEW course contains Day 2 of “Cindy Miles’ Torticollis: Assessment and Treatment of Infants and Children: Impact on the Movement System of Infants and Beyond” torticollis course. Anjali Gupta has updated the information that was in Day 2 (which focused on intervention) and has added in an additional day that includes assessment strategies as well (the original Cindy Miles course did NOT include much on assessment).
If you took Cindy Miles’ course when CINDY taught it (prior to February, 2023) – this “Comprehensive Strategies” course would be 50-70% NEW material.
If you took Cindy Miles’ course when ANJALI taught it (after February, 2023) – this “Comprehensive Strategies” course would be a repeat of about HALF of the material since Anjali has been updating it slowly over time since 2023. The half that is repeated is the material that was presented on Day 2 of the original Cindy Miles course when Anjali taught it.
