AOTA certifications
AOTA certification is based on a peer-reviewed process in which applicants submit a reflective portfolio that addresses identified criteria, a self-assessment, and development of a professional development plan.
- Pediatrics (BCP): Pediatric CE courses given by ERI may cover Criteria 1-8 for attaining a pediatric specialization through professional development. (Knowledge about lifespan and conditions, evaluation, intervention, and systems, laws, and service delivery systems relevant to pediatrics.)
- Physical Rehabilitation (BCPR): Adult rehab CE courses given by ERI may cover Criteria 1-8 for attaining a physical rehabilitation specialization through professional development. (Knowledge about lifespan and conditions, evaluation, intervention, and systems, laws, and service delivery systems relevant to physical rehabilitation.)
- Gerontology (BCG): Gerontology CE courses given by ERI may cover Criteria 1-8 for attaining a gerontology specialization through professional development. (Knowledge about lifespan and conditions, evaluation, intervention, and systems, laws, and service delivery systems relevant to the gerontology client.)
- School System (SCSS or SCSS-A): School based CE courses given by ERI may cover Criteria 1-8 for attaining a school system specialization through professional development. (Knowledge about lifespan and conditions, evaluation, intervention, and systems, laws, and service delivery systems relevant to the school system client.)
- Feeding, Eating, and Swallowing (SCFES or SCFES-A): Feeding CE courses given by ERI may cover Criteria 1-8 for attaining a Feeding, Eating and Swallowing specialization through professional development. (Knowledge about lifespan and conditions, evaluation, intervention, and systems, laws, and service delivery systems relevant to the client with feeding and swallowing difficulties.)
APTA certifications
- ERI CE courses may help you prepare for the ABPTS Certification Exams in: Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Neurology, Sports, and/or Oncology areas of specialization.
- ERI CE courses may be submitted for recertification with your professional development portfolio in Cardiovascular and Pulmonary, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Neurology, Sports, and/or Oncology areas of specialization.
ASHA Specialty Certification
Certification in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BCS-S):
ERI CE courses in swallowing, feeding and dysphagia are submitted to ASHA and may be submitted towards the required 75 hours of advanced CE towards the BCS-S from the American Board of Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders.
NTNCB (Neonatal Therapy National Certification Board)
ERI’s NICU and Neonatal courses may be submitted to the NTNCB towards the required 40 hours of continuing education for certification.
Lactation Consultants
The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLE) certification requires 90 CERPS (Continuing Education Recognition Points) taken within 5 years. ERI CE courses that cover preterm development and growth, feeding behaviors, congenital abnormalities, GERD, neurological disabilities, reflexes, feeding devices, nipple devices, and refusal to feed, (among other related topics), may be submitted for recertification. The requirement is 75 CERPS for re-certification.
National Association of Neonatal Therapists
All our NICU and Neonatal courses may be applied towards a certification for therapists who work in the NICU setting from NANT (National Association of Neonatal Therapists.)
NDT re-certification
ERI CE may be applied towards the NDT Association’s requirement for 20 hours of CE within 3 years for NDT re-certification. 8 of these 20 hours must be a course given by an active NDT Instructor.
SOS Feeding Certification
One of the prerequisites to SOS Feeding Certification is completion of the Basic SOS Approach to Feeding Course (3.75 Day) within the last 8 years, or completion of the Basic SOS Approach to Feeding Course (3 Day) taken prior to 2015 PLUS the Advanced Topic Online Course “Tools in Your Pantry: Effectively Using the New Oral Motor Steps”.
