When Leah Kuypers created The Zones of Regulation, her goal was to provide others with information on a framework she used to foster self-regulation and emotional control in children. Her book has been enthusiastically received by educators and therapists across the country, and now she is sharing her expertise with ERI’s community of therapists on March 6, 2020, in Memphis, Tennessee.
Leah will provide an understanding of the Zones of Regulation and teach participants to describe the role of sensory processing/modulation, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and social cognition play in self-regulation. Leah will also teach therapists to state ways in which the Zones framework teaches students to self-regulate, how to integrate the Zones into practice and support generalization of skills across settings, and how to teach students to individualize their own tools for self-regulation.
This one-day, dynamic workshop will bring therapists practice to the next level and improve outcomes in a variety of settings including the classroom.
