The latest surgical updates for joint arthroplasty and surgical fixation of fractures have become minimally invasive. Procedures that once required days of post-op care and weeks if not months of physical and occupational rehab have become procedures with little to no post-operative precautions and a shorter rehab course. The post joint arthroplasty and fracture repair landscape is changing and so must the way PTs, PTAs, OTs and OTAs think about rehabilitative treatment.
ERI’s new course “Total Joint Arthroplasty and Fracture Rehabilitation,” with Pat Tino PT, DPT reviews current surgical procedures and components and their relation to rehabilitation services. During the course that takes place April 27-28, 2019 at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut, Pat will review principles of fundamental biomechanics and its importance when designing, programming, and dosing post-op and non-op exercise programs; realizing sometimes “less is more” to facilitate optimal function.
Register for “Total Joint Arthroplasty and Fracture Rehabilitation” – an essential course for any therapist treating patients post joint arthroplasty or fracture repair.
