ERI is excited to announce a new Neurology focused course beginning in August.

Join speaker Robert Hand, PT, DPT, NCS as he reviews practical management strategies to improve outcomes for patients with neurodegenerative disorders. In this course, Hand, a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy, aims to improve clinician skills from diagnosis through late-stage disease management.

This live webinar will include case studies with videos that will be used to develop assessment and treatment plans with strategies to address both motor and non-motor impairments including decreased attention, difficulty multitasking, and behavioral barriers that limit therapists’ ability to maintain or improve a patient’s functional status.

EARLY BIRD SPECIAL! Register for this course before July 19 and receive a special discounted price of $299! Use coupon code HANDAUGUST22 at checkout. Participants will earn 9 contact hours (0.9 CEUs) upon completion of all three sessions.

Building the Brain: A Neurobiological Approach to Assessment and Treatment

Robin Harwell, M.A., CCC-SLP is a dynamic instructor and clinician who takes complex information and easily applies it clinically. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience in a variety of settings, including hospital, clinic, nursing home, home health, private practice and public schools.

child completing a puzzleMost notably, she spends the majority of her time working hands-on at a facility that has incorporated her brain building program. This program, GaitWay to the Brain was part of a published 2+ year study by a major university.

With all of this experience under her belt, Robin is able to offer clinicians an intensive lab course that will teach participants to use tools, based in research, to support the brain’s ability to rewire itself rather than retraining or relearning a specific skill. This live webinar will benefit clinicians in a wide range of treatment settings – from acute care and medically fragile patients, to those with behavioral and chronic issues.

Beginning on July 30, 2022, this engaging two day webinar is offered at 14.5 contact hours (1.45 CEUs) and costs $369/person. Here’s what others have said about “Building the Brain” course:

Amputee Rehabilitation: Evidence-Based Strategies Across the Continuum of Care for Limb Loss

An essential course for therapists working with limb loss patients.

According to the Amputee Coalition™, there are over 2 million people living with limb loss in the United States and another 28 million at risk of amputation surgery. Current guidelines recommend therapy interactions start pre-operatively and continue through the lifespan of the patient. Inger Brueckner, MS, PT, is a renowned expert in the field of vestibular dysfunction and amputee rehabilitation, treating patients across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric. Her latest course “Amputee Rehabilitation” offers a comprehensive perspective for management of the limb loss patient. This live webinar will address the evaluation and treatment of limb loss due to diabetes, vascular disease, trauma, cancer, sepsis, and congenital limb difference.

Registration is now open for this 2-day webinar that begins on July 15, 2022. Participants will earn 14 contact hours (1.4 CEUs) upon completion of this webinar.
